I’m Leah Matuson, an accomplished writer and editor, storyteller, and journalist with 20+ years of experience crafting content across tech, business, creative, legal, and consumer sectors for digital, print, and social.
Writing isn’t just a job for me—it’s a passion, and I can write about anything! As a kid, I wrote as a means of expressing myself, and as a way of understanding the world. As I grew up, I found that writing is how I learn. Now, I educate others through my words, too.
My philosophy is simple: know your subject and your audience. One of my talents is the ability to take complex information and translate disparate data into clear and compelling content. My writing helps readers make sense of complicated ideas while also engaging, educating, and entertaining.
Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known companies such as Amazon, Cisco, Citrix, Dell EMC, HPE, Microsoft, and VMware, to name a few. Some of the work I’ve performed includes market research, interviewing subject matter experts as well as the general public, working with stakeholders and, of course, writing and editing.
Content includes short pieces and long-form articles, ads, blogs, marketing and sales collateral, scripts, web content, thought leadership pieces, style guides, tech manuals, and processes and procedures. Subjects have included AI, machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, networking, and more.
My magazine and newspaper work includes feature articles for both adults and kids on science, history, education, health and wellness, construction, lifestyle trends, and entertainment.
